Education & Experience:

  • Professional experience as worship leader in a church setting
  • Track record of recruiting and building unpaid music/vocal teams
  • Experience teaming with pastor and others to accomplish creative weekly worship design

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong worship leader that flows from a genuine relationship with Jesus
  • Experience in leading gospel and contemporary Christian genres of music
  • Great singer/musician
  • Ability to lead and develop teams and cultivate new talent
  • Have an understanding of multiethnic ministry/mission/culture
  • Possess the ability to hear vocal parts and to teach these to the music servants
  • Ability to instruct in the area of media/production/sound, including gaining a knowledge of the equipment and programs associated with these ministries
  • Ability and willingness to grasp the vision of Ginghamsburg and to learn the distinct DNA and flow of the ministry

Position Requirements:

  • Must be available for evening and weekend hours

Responsibilities:

  • Meet each week with Fort McKinley campus pastor to strategize and plan weekend worship celebrations (often in partnership with The Point worship leader)
  • Regularly meet with Ginghamsburg’s worship design team to plan worship series and events
  • Attend weekly Fort McKinley staff meeting (in person or via conference call)
  • Recruit, rehearse, and lead musicians and singers (including a seasonal choir) one evening each week plus Sunday morning worship celebrations
  • Work alongside Fort McKinley campus pastor to plan Sunday morning breakfast worship ministry (Soul Food Café)
  • Coordinate with and work under the leadership of the Ginghamsburg Pastor/Director of Worship and Music to develop appropriate music/worship style for the Fort McKinley campus
  • Help coordinate music for special events (may include funerals, weddings, block party, etc.)

Occasional opening and closing and housekeeping duties. The position available is full-time, includes weekend shifts.
