Life is too short, the mission too critical, the call too compelling . . .
to simply “play church.”

Ginghamsburg Church is inviting a select number of churches to become part of a new radically missional CHANGE the WORLD network—a network that will resource, coach and train churches to become an unstoppable force of exponential mission both in your local communities and throughout the world—regardless of church size, location or resources.

This new network will provide each member church with:

  • -a 3-day team-based training intensive on October 20-22, 2010, for your paid and/or unpaid leadership teams (minimum of 2/maximum 10 participants per church partner).

With featured trainers…

Alan Hirsch — Speaker and author of The Forgotten Ways

Mike Slaughter — The three-decade dreamer and lead pastor of…

Sue Nilson Kibbey — Executive pastor of Ginghamsburg Church…

…and the entire Ginghamsburg staff of seasoned "on mission" professionals.

  • -a monthly e-zine loaded with “how to’s,” challenges, tips and techniques for taking your church into the world.
  • -an online community for support, ideas, accountability and inspiration.
  • -10 training/coaching sessions delivered via the Internet for as many people as you would choose to invite.

The all inclusive cost? $1000 per church, whether you bring 2 people or up to 10 people for the October training session that kicks off the network. _____________________________________________________________________________

The October session includes:

Day 1:
People for the mission – Learn the strategies for moving from an attractional model of evangelism to a missional model, as well as how to build and empower leaders and the priesthood of all believers necessary for taking the church outside of its walls and into the world for the mission of Jesus.
Day 2:
Multiplying the mission – The early church in the books of Acts was a ministry of multiplication, not expansion. After all, the goal isn't to become the biggest church in the area-- but to "church" the area. Learn how to identify new “3rd places,” create micro versus macro communities, renew dying churches in “at risk” communities…AND find the courage to make it all happen.
Day 3:
Resources for the mission – The call is to minimize brick and maximize mission. How do you go from a temple theology to a tent theology, budgeting effectively to move from simply sustaining the mortar to growing the mission? Also includes how to find funding from and form partnerships with community-based foundations as well as government and non-government organizations to transform your community.

Each day also features coached processing time for your team to create actionable plans for getting started when you return home, "lunch and learn" sessions for team members to focus on ministry specialty areas with other churches and Ginghamsburg staff, and experiential training at on-mission outposts.
