Subject: Michaiah's Laughter
My name is Michaiah Elaine Browning-Combs. I recently joined this forum for fellowship, teaching and learning.

I am a forty-one year old Wife and Mother of two wonderful children (Rachel Marie-17 and Kenny-13). I will be married 19 years in May to Kenneth Ashford Combs who will be 44 in June.
We have two dogs. One is a 90lb black Labrador and the other is a 10lb Yorkiepoo....comical to say the least.

I was born the winter of 1967 on the West side of Dayton...Ohio, that is. I took the Lord's supper for the first time while living with an older couple who had 14 children. I was 3 or 4 at the time and I saw the Lord as consuming fire as I lay awake in bed one morning. I loved Sunday school.
I stayed with my Mother until I was 14 and got on the Sunday school bus occasionally as I could between the ages of 6 and 8. I didn't think seriously about by spiritual life until I was 19.

I began to read a bible and asking the lord's direction for my life. I fully accepted the message of grace and was baptized at the age of 21 as rededication and attended the Worldwide Church of God where I met and married my wonderful husband Ken at the age of 22. We left there 8 years and two beautiful children later. We heard about Ginghamsburg through a friend and attended there for over a year where the Lord spoke to me and began a great work in my life and heart. Changes in circumstances necessitated a move to Bethel AOG where I volunteered for 3 1/2 years and was on staff for 6 months. We were led to Christian Life Center through our son Kenny because he very much had a listening for the children's program and my husband and I were seeking some training on small group/house church for evangelistic efforts and bridging to the local Church and community as Bethel did not offer small group ministry or training.

As a follower of Christ, I strive to be a revealing of Christ's presence, power, grace & truth and to speak forth His Word and work for individuals, Israel, His Church and the world. It is my hope to impact and motivate others to love and good deeds as well as to create in them a tremendous desire to see our Lord's return.

My God Dreams are to play a role in the Gospel being preached to all nations in a most astonishing way & for the return of our King, Jesus. I have also dreamed of eventually having a home powered by alternate energy & to travel to Israel one day.

Thank you for allowing me to share some of my life in this forum. I am currently developing my own blog and will welcome any and all comments. I'll list the address when it's done. MC
Maybe it will simply be Michaiah.com. Who knows.

ps. For any of you who knew me previously by the name Julie (which was a nick-name given to me by the man I thought was my Father), new discoveries surrounding the circumstances of my birth created the need for me to take my Mother's maiden name (Browning) combined with my married name (Combs). My first name took about a year to come up with since I was simply going to return to my birth name of Helen but my husband was not fond of it and it had never been used in reference to me (only Julie). So in prayer and research, Michaiah (Mi-KAY-ah)came to mind. The middle name remained the same because my Mom gave it to me and I kept it as a display of honor to her. We are related to the poets Robert and Elizabeth Browning and some in our family have the same strong desire to pen poetry. Sincerely, Michaiah Elaine Browning-Combs

pss/jumpers rule (jumpers rule alluding to God's idea in the Bible)
