It would have been nice for you to meet my husband, Ken, and my son. They are both Tim Hawkins fans. He has some of his skits online. Anyway, my ears were gone a long time ago. I hear things well. It's all just kind of monotone though. My Mom is getting weaker. Today, I had to hold her up and make it to a chair with her because she didn't even have the strength to get there on her own. She got tired and sat down on a bag of dog food. So I partly carried her to her chair. I remember back about 8 months ago when she first came to live here with us after being diagnosed. I woke up one night and she was standing over me chewing on a handful of dog food and with no teeth. That was when she could hit and cuss and carry on. She was into everything and totally helpless when it came to doing anything for herself. I knew she'd been living on cat food and beer. I knew about the beer but when she went strolling past the dogs' dish and without missing a beat leaned down as she went and scooped up a hefty handful of Beneful, I knew she had been living on cat food with her cats because she couldn't coordinate well enough to make a meal.
They say that the guilt stays for quite sometime and that a person will continue to blame themselves for things they could've done and didn't or should have known or done. I know I've been through the major grieving of the grieving process and I'm on the acceptance part. The grief does hit sometimes and I just try to accept it and wait for it to pass and focus on the positive things and there are so many positive things. The Lord is good and has provided so many good things for my Mom's care.
Ken and I have two kids. Rachel 17 and fab. Kenny 13 and fab.
We decided to stop there or God decided for us. Anyway, I hope you're taking the doctors' advice. I know Lisa and Suzanne will be on your case if you don't at least get some rest. Have a wonderful Holy Day and enjoy the Lord's presence. In Him, Michaiah
