Other Questions

Can I bring my child or nursing infant to the October kick-off event?

  • While families are very important to us, the Change the World network kick-off event is just for adults. Young children and infants are not permitted in the sessions, and childcare is not available.

Why do I need to bring a team; I might prefer to come alone?

  • After each training session, teams will be led through facilitated processing time to create actionable plans to take back to your home churches. You will benefit best from this time if you can draw from the collective IQ and shared passions of "on mission" people. Change can be hard, and transformation into a radically missional, "outside the walls" church will require a team of enthusiastic and trained disciples to make it happen. This is not something you want to try by yourself.

What are the 10 webinar topics, and when will they be broadcast over the Internet?

  • You will receive the webinar schedule and topics when you attend the October event. Your feedback regarding specific felt needs during the October kick-off may also cause the webinar topics to be modified for the later sessions.

Are only the people I bring with me in October authorized to be part of each webinar?

  • Since the webinars are conveniently delivered over the web to your own location, the choice of audience is completely up to you for each session. Learn more when we meet this October.

If our team has less than 10 people currently signed up, can I add others or substitute team members up until the October 20 event start date?

  • If you decide to add members to your team up to the 10 maximum, we would appreciate knowing two weeks prior to October 20 so that we can ensure we are fully prepared to host your entire team. If your team size is staying the same but you plan to substitute in new team members, please alert us at ahead of time if possible so that we can prepare nametags, or simply let us know when your team checks in on October 20.

What is the dress code during the October kick-off event?

  • The dress code is casual for all events. Be sure to bring a sweater or jacket for layering in case you find a room chilly while attending a session.

Will you provide sign language interpretation or translation into Spanish during the October kick-off event?

  • We do not currently provide sign language interpretation or Spanish translation. However, if you need special assistance in the case of a disability, please contact our event registrar about your specific needs at 1.866.238.2930.

May I record the sessions?

  • Sessions should not be either video or audio recorded. However, for selected presentations, audio and/or video may be available for purchase in the Ginghamsburg bookstore. See the bookstore staff when you are here for details. Also, for promotional and marketing purposes, Ginghamsburg reserves the right to use any audio, video and/or photography of attendees acquired during the conference.
