How do I Start a Group
First, complete the Host a Life Group Form.
Then follow these three easy steps:
- Set a Date – Not much happens without a deadline!
- Reflection Exercise – Make some time alone with you, God, pen and paper. Then ask God, “Who do you want in this group? Which of my friends, neighbors or coworkers should I invite?” Write down those names.
- Personally Invite – Give those folks a call or invite them the next time you see them. You could say, “Hey, I’m starting a life group that is meeting at my house. I would love to have you there. We’re going to spend some time getting to know each other, and this fall we’re going to look at busyness – are you too busy?” If he/she is a person of faith, you could say his/her name came to mind as you prayed about this.
- Let us help – We want to come alongside you on this journey. Send us an email or give us a call, and let us know you’re starting a group. We have an email newsletter that can help, and are always just a phone call away.
