As you make your weekend worship plans, Ginghamsburg Church wants you to be aware of the precautions we always have in place to keep Ginghamsburg a healthy environment, as well as some we are temporarily implementing for your assurance and peace of mind.
Our Children's Ministry practices regular hand washing of childrens' and servants' hands. Strict diaper-changing procedures are constantly in place, as is our health policy of not accepting children with these symptoms: 100+ degree fever, or fever within the past 24 hours, diarrhea, non-clear runny nose, vomiting or difficulty breathing. In addition, our standing policy is to disinfect classroom toys and equipment daily.
For additional protection, our facilities staff, which cleans all buildings frequently 7 days per week, is using an additional bleach-based solution to ensure door knobs, restrooms, hand railings and other frequently touched surfaces are disinfected frequently throughout the weekend in all buildings.
As a convenience for you, hand sanitizer dispensers are in place in each men's and women's restroom on all campuses, as well as coffee stations, drinking fountains and other frequently visited spots.
To ensure you feel both welcome and safe to participate, we want to provide information on our communion process. All communion servers sanitize their hands before handling the bread. To keep from spreading germs, communion servers will tear off a piece of bread and hand it to you. You will then proceed through the rest of the communion process as normal
We also appreciate your assistance this weekend in helping all stay healthy. Diligent hand-washing, using the crook of your elbow or a cloth to cover your mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing, and staying home if you are ill are commonsense precautions we should all take. For additional information, visit the Centers for Disease Control website.
Thank you for being an essential part of Jesus' mission to the world through Ginghamsburg Church!
