Our Mission:
To assist families in connecting their children with God through
Jesus Christ.

Let your family be the hands and feet of Jesus in vital local, regional and global mission projects! During our Spring Quarter our Family Mission will focus on serving in and around our local community. Some of the ministries we support are: St. Patrick’s Ministries in Troy, the Women’s Center in Dayton, the Strawberry Festival outreach and even our own Fort McKinley Project Neighborhood.

Pray, discuss with your family and then pick a stride that you can successfully complete.

• STEP with Jesus by reaching out to make a difference. Partner in prayer with your church family for the different ministries in our area:
  
  
  • St. Patrick’s in Troy
  • our Strawberry Festival Outreach
  • the Women’s Center
  • Project Neighborhood

  Pray for those who faithfully serve each week in each one of these ministry organizations so that resources are available to our community in need.

• WALK with Jesus by touching lives in a more personal way. Donate one or more of the following items from your home into the Mission Station in your child’s classroom:
  
  
  • Go through your old baby gear and donate gently used baby clothes, supplies and equipment.
  • Clean out your linen closet and donate any of your gently used bedding items or towels/washcloths that you can part with.
• JOG with Jesus together for God’s purpose. Purchase one or more of the following new items below and place into the Mission Station in your child’s classroom:
  
  
  • Hygiene Items: soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair brushes, toothbrushes, combs, toothpaste, deodorant, toilet paper, etc.
  • Newly purchased food, baby or toddler clothing and baby supplies are always also appreciated if you able to contribute in this manner.
  • Candy and Prize Items: individually wrapped candy and small prizes are great for our Strawberry Festival Outreach tent!
• RUN with Jesus by serving with your family. Serve together with your family at one of the following mission trips. RSVP to Erica Sharp at 937.667.1069 ext. 277 or esharp(at)ginghamsburg.org.
  
  
  • Project Neighborhood @ Fort McKinley in Dayton: Saturday, May 22, from 9-3 p.m. Work projects will range from litter clean up to landscaping and possible light maintenance duties as well. Wear your old clothes and come ready to work. We will provide the tools and supplies to complete projects plus your lunch! R.S.V.P. to Erica by Monday, May 17.
  • St. Patrick’s Homes for the Homeless in Troy: Saturday, May 15 from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. Work projects will mostly consist of cleaning and landscaping the homes. There is a possibility for some light maintenance duties as well. Wear your old work clothes and bring cleaners, rags and rakes. R.S.V.P. to Erica by May 12.
  • Strawberry Festival Outreach Tent in Troy: Friday, June 4, from 4:30-8:30 p.m. We will host a booth of FREE games, crafts and activities for children and their families to enjoy during the kick-off at the square. R.S.V.P. to Erica by June 1.
