Pray about your role in this mission and discuss it with your family. Pick a stride that you can successfully finish. Children's Ministry challenges you and your family to journey with Jesus through serving others.
OUR MISSION FOCUS FOR THE MONTH OF MAY IS OUR STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL OUTREACH. Join us for the Strawberry Festival kick-off at the square in Troy. As many of you may know, the long-standing tradition of the Strawberry Festival kick-off on Friday night includes the kids' parade, bed races and booths around the square. Most booths at the Strawberry Festival are there to raise money, so they charge kids to play games and enjoy all kinds of strawberry treats. But there are many children that come to the festivities on their own or their parents can’t afford all the extra costs. That is why our booth is so special. We will host an outreach booth where kids can play games, make crafts and just have fun…all for FREE! Check out below how your family can get involved in this outreach!
STEP with Jesus by reaching out to make a difference - Pray for all of the kids who will visit our booth at the Strawberry Festival kick-off! Pray that they will be touched by God’s love through playing at our booth.
WALK with Jesus by touching lives in a more personal way - Cut out paper strawberries at home! We will need lots of strawberries to decorate our booth. Call Erica Sharp at 937.667.1069 ext. 277 to arrange to pick up a packet of strawberries to cut out, and then simply return them to Erica's mail box in the Main Campus office.
JOG with Jesus together for God’s purpose - Donate individually wrapped candy for prizes at our booth! We will need lots and lots of candy for prizes. Try this…instead of asking your mom to buy you something when she is grocery shopping, try asking her to buy a bag of candy for the festival. Or better yet, use your own money to make a candy donation!
RUN with Jesus by serving with your family - Serve with your family at the Strawberry Festival outreach booth on Friday, June 6, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. We will need a set-up and tear-down team as well as servants to run the games and activities.
