INFORMATION FOR MARRIAGE PREPARATION REGISTRATION PAGE
Because of our commitment to marriage as a covenant between husband, wife and God, Ginghamsburg requires that each couple complete a four-month marriage preparation process. We also have the following expectations of couples married at Ginghamsburg:
- Both partners of the couple are in a growing personal relationship with Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
- The couple is not living together and is honoring God through the practice of sexual purity.
- The minimal connection with Ginghamsburg Church expected is for the couple to have attended a worship celebration at least two times per month for six months prior to their marriage preparation, and to continue this pattern in the months leading up to and following their wedding.
- Couples who want to be married at Ginghamsburg as their "home church" but are out of the area due to school, military service or job location, please call Penny for information (see below).
- The couple will fully participate in the marriage preparation process and ideally complete the process two months prior to the wedding date.
