Eligibility: The on-line memorials are reserved for frequent attendees and members of Ginghamsburg Church who have passed away. Only the immediate family of the deceased can request an on-line memorial.
Purpose: The purpose of the memorials is to remember and celebrate the lives, ministries, and testimonies of those who have gone to be with the Lord. As you remember your loved one, our desire is that their memorial will help you remember and share the memories and blessings their life brought you.
Duration: We hope to host the memorials for many years to come. Each memorial will be hosted for as long as the Ginghamsburg Church web site continues, and the pages can be maintained. Web technology changes may make it difficult to host the pages in the future. For example, in time, the streaming video format may become obsolete. We will need to remove pages and portions of pages that cannot be practically maintained.
Purchase: The cost for one on-line memorial is $250. This payment is used to help cover the cost of creating the on-line memorial pages and hosting the pages for the years to come. You can purchase an on-line memorial via the Ginghamsburg e-Store. Each memorial includes a front page with a short life story, an optional picture gallery, an optional video, and an optional reflections page for people to post their thoughts and memories. A new memorial will usually be posted within one week after all the content is provided to the CyberMinistry team.

Content: The family is responsible for gathering and creating all the content for the memorial. Unfortunately, we cannot post any copyrighted text, graphics, audio, or video because that would be illegal. This includes copyrighted poems, pictures, stories, music, etc. Also, by providing the information, the family agrees to release it for posting on the Internet. Note: For anyone pictured in a photo or video, you must have their permission to post it on the Internet.
Ginghamsburg reserves the right to edit the content and to determine if the content is appropriate to be posted on the web site. Our desire is to maintain the highest standards that are pleasing to God and consistent with our beliefs.
Text: The text must be provided in an electronic format (e-mail, Microsoft Word, etc.). We can read most common formats. We prefer that the text be sent via e-mail to CyberMin(at)Ginghamsburg.org.
Graphics: It is best to provide the photos in electronic format as well, but we can scan them for you and give them back to you. We cannot be responsible for lost of damaged photos. If you scan images, please create them at least 1000 pixels on the largest dimension and store them in JPG or another common format. We can read most graphics formats.
Video: Video is best provided on a VHS tape, but other formats can be arranged. We cannot edit the video and the video should be 10 minutes or less. We can copy the video and return it to you. We cannot be responsible for lost or damaged videos. Please be sure that the video is copyright free. For example, it cannot contain copyrighted music.
1. Life Story: Please provide the person's full name, birth date, date of death, a favorite or selected scripture passage, a short biography, and a recent photo. To support the look of the pages, please provide their favorite color, and hints on what type of theme picture would be most appropriate. If needed, we can accept a maximum of 5 typed pages of text for the life story.
2. Optional Picture Gallery: Please provide up to 30 pictures for the picture gallery. For each picture, you can also provide a short caption that will be displayed with the picture.
3. Optional Video: Please provide a short video depicting their life. We can accept up to 10 minutes of video.
4. Optional Reflections Page: This page will initially be empty and will provide an opportunity for you and others to post your thoughts, prayers, memories, etc. It will remain active now and in the future.
