The “Next Step” is a community of broken people who have become whole, one-day-at-a-time, through the power of the Holy Spirit and the help of each other.
Addiction and its various forms of debris often create a brokenness and subsequent wall between those afflicted and God. It is the Next Step’s mission to help those affected by addiction, tear down the walls and experience the freedom and wholeness created by living a life fueled by God.
Built upon the foundation of Jesus and The Christian 12 Steps, the Next Step follows Paul’s direction in Galatians 5:16-18:
So I say, live by the spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
