Have you ever asked "Why?" You are not alone. In a world racked with uncertainty and chaos we all find ourselves needing answers.

What is the Church's response to such a life-altering event? Join us at our Tipp City and Fort McKinley Campuses for a special weekend of worship for the 10-year anniversary of September 11, 2001.

There are moments in life when, confronted with our insufficiencies we realize we don't have all the answers. We stand in desperate need of something -- SOMEONE -- who can pick up where our human attempts leave off. "Help me" might be the sweetest prayer ever spoken.

Confession is good for the soul... and the first step in our faith journey. Honestly telling God how it is with our broken selves is possibly the single-most powerful prayer we can speak. Join us in worship this weekend as we further explore the depths and power of PRAYER.

It's easy enough to look for happiness in the things around us, but "blessed" goes way beyond circumstances. Joy and peace are found in living fully into God's gift of today. What are you grateful for? Join us this weekend in worship as we ask God to open our eyes to the gifts around us.

Our hearts are restless for this one thing - but we try to fill them with lifeless substitutes. Often even our best efforts result in only dry, ritualistic prayers. The disciples felt the same way - and asked Jesus to let them in on the secrets of truly connecting with God. Can you relate?

Once the Mighty Wind of the Holy Spirit made Its presence known, the disciples of the early church knew exactly what their mission was to be, but what they couldn't have guessed is how powerfully God would show up in their lives. Join us this week at Ginghamsburg as Pastor Mike Bowie share a message celebrating God's powerful work among us - and preparing for what is yet to come!

Acts 2 describes the early Church as "enjoying the favor of ALL the people." In today's culture, the Church is clearly out of favor, often considered irrelevant at best... mean-spirited and exclusive at its worst. What happened? This weekend in worship, we will examine what we as the Church must do to return to being a countercultural community, a favored people, and Christ's ambassadors to a world that desperately needs him.

When it comes to community it's easy to stay skin deep. Life teaches us "don't talk, don't trust and don't feel" Pretty soon isolation feels preferable to risking ourselves into closely committed relationships... but there's a better way. Join us as we press into authentic community, taking it from skin deep to knee deep.

When the MIGHTY WIND of the Holy Spirit first blew in, the book of Acts tells us that... a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Suddenly the experience of God was no longer limited to one language, one viewpoint or one cultural practice. In this new community the Holy Spirit shows up in rich diversity.

It’s easy to become part of a crowd – individuals who’ve gathered in one PLACE – many agendas, one location. Community happens, however, when individuals gather around one PASSION. One heart. The heart of Jesus Christ for the world. That’s the difference- that’s community.

The New Testament book of ACTS describes a mighty wind – the holy spirit –blowing in to set the stage for a brand new community to emerge; a community characterized by its devotion to teaching, shared life, communion and worship. Join us this weekend at both Ginghamsburg and Fort McKinley campuses as we experience this rich exchange in our own community.

Acts 2: The Mighty Wind of the Holy Spirit blows into a gathering of believers and their lives together are changed forever. The Spirit's presence pushed them to depend on and serve one another - resulting in something everybody wants, but hardly anybody has: rich relationships resulting in THE NEW COMMUNITY.

While most of us recognize failure all too well, faith can be an unfamiliar state of the heart. Do you know a Dad who needs encouragement? Bring him to worship this weekend as we celebrate Father's Day and hear a powerful word of hope from the book of Acts - reminding us of A Mighty Wind: failure to faith.

After his resurrection, Jesus told the disciples that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them. Apparently, they believed him, because after the Spirit blew in on the Day of Pentecost, Peter and the others demonstrated a bold confidence that miracles would happen and that people would find new life wherever the story was told.

Are you a sheep or a goat? In his final end-times teaching, Jesus wraps it up with a word about sheep and goats. Not really the livestock variety but what kind of animal a hardcore, serious Jesus-follower looks like.

God has created us with capabilities beyond imagination; entrusted us with gifts to be invested into life-giving accounts. Tragically we wind up squandering most of our time on empty pursuits that will one day fall buried into a grave of insignificance. Jesus challenges us beyond this foolishness, however, toward lives of lasting legacy.

We all start out in life with a picture of the kind of person we want to be and the life we want to live- but becoming that kind of person and living that life doesn't just magically happen. It's the result of daily, intentional steps in the right direction. Preparation always precedes celebration! This is Jesus' message for us today: "Tomorrow's coming - People Get Ready."

Earth-dwellers have always been curious about when the end times will come, but Jesus said we can’t know when- just get ready. And on this momentous weekend when thousands of sister churches celebrate their commitment to change the world, there’s not a better time to love God with all our hearts and serve people with all our strength.

The Old Testament book of Proverbs sets a high bar for women -but why? Does the hand that rocks the cradle really rule the world? Like it or not, the essence of parenting dictates that our children will replicate the very lives we've created!
