Have you been blessed? God assures that we have every spiritual blessing in Christ – and now calls us to celebrate and activate those blessings into powerful kingdom-of-God purposes.
Ephesians 1:3-14
What has been one of your biggest blessings this year?
Read Ephesians 1:3-8. God has called us all to be a blessing to others but in order to be a blessing we must first realize that we are blessed. Not only does God give us daily blessings, but according to Ephesians we are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. We literally have access to all the benefits of heaven, but we often are caught up in the negative things that happen in life and miss out on all God has for us.
Do you currently live your life as one who already possesses all the blessings of God? Explain.
Have you ever been so focused on the negatives in life that you literally forgot about all your blessings?
Read Jeremiah 1:4. Being blessed by God is not however the end all. God’s blessings are supposed to flow through us to bless others. Even before we were born, God set us apart on purpose to bless us so that we could loose the kingdom of God here on earth.
How has God used you to bless others even when you thought you had very little to offer?
Read Matthew 22:39. Once we realize that we are blessed people we must begin to activate those blessings. But in order to maximize your life and be all that God has called you to be for others we must begin to love who God created us to be. No one can out be you being you and when we fully appreciate who we are and all our life experiences, we will begin to live in that ‘sweet spot’ where we are operating in the purpose for which we were created.
Name something you dislike about your self or life. How do you think that affects your faith in God?
Name an area of your life where you are operating in your ‘sweet spot’? How does that make you feel?
Read II Corinthians 4:18. If we are to maximize this life and the blessing of God in our lives we must begin to look beyond our current situations and the obvious distractions and put on our God lens to see the eternal and future victories that God has for us. We are easily distracted by problems and the “giants” in our life but to fully realize what God has for us we must consistently look to the eternal things of God which are unseen.
What problem, distraction or wall is currently keeping you from seeing or focusing on God’s big picture for your life?
Name the places of contentment in your life right now? Where are you not content?
We all have strengths and gifts that God has given us that needs to passed on to others around us. God’s blessings in our lives will only continue as much as we are willing to share them with others. All blessing are from God and we need to celebrate and activate those blessings in the world we live.
Name some strengths or blessings you possess that need to be shared?
How will you better become a person of blessing living on the blessings of God in your life?
