Saving Jesus

:  The VULNERABILITY of a CHILD
Sunday, Dec 24 2006

On those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. Just as Mary and Joseph's obedience to God saved the life of the infant Jesus, our willingness to say "yes" to God's call determines the future legacies of other people.

Matthew 2:13-15

Reread Matthew 2:13-15.

  1. Describe a time from your childhood that you felt very vulnerable.
  2. Name some of the selfish tendencies you still fight in your life.
  3. Like putting on new glasses, how has Jesus opened your eyes to the needs of the world this year?
  4. Do you see the world through God’s eyes or your own perspective?
  5. Describe a time you obeyed God with a seemingly irrational faith.
  6. How will you help bring Jesus and the kingdom of heaven to our world this Christmas and in the year to come?
