A Faith That Works
: Personal IntegritySunday, May 11 2008
Healthy eating and exercise matter, but can't prevent the second-hand pollutants that cause disease and distress. This world's moral and mental pollutants are just as dangerous! Yet, James calls us to lead unpolluted lives--healthy food for the mind, sobriety for the soul, and the focus on sacrificial service that fulfills God’s purpose.
James 1:27
- How do you attempt to maintain purity in our "polluted" world?
- What tends to be artificial vs. real in your life right now? Why?
- Have you ever tried to change a behavior or bad habit without getting to the root of the problem? What happened?
- What are some fears that hinder you from living out total faith in God's will/purpose for your life?
- What steps do you take to prevent yourself from being "polluted" by the world? Are there other steps you need to take to maintain personal and spiritual integrity?
