LOVETHE937 - “hooked”
LOVE THE 937
September 04, 2016
Jesus' teachings were deep - but his mission was simple: invite followers and equip them to invite others until a full-on movement begins to form. He started with just two fisherman, but for James and John NOTHING about life would ever be the same. Completely, miraculously, unapologetically hooked.
YOU ARE INVITED to one of the Ginghamsburg campuses this week as we begin a new SERIES and a new SEASON- engaging our own communities to become completely, miraculously, unapologetically hooked.

Questions to go Deeper
Jesus’ teachings were deep – but his mission was simple: invite followers and equip them to invite others until a full-on movement begins to form. He started with just two fisherman, but for James and John NOTHING about life would ever be the same. Completely, miraculously, unapologetically hooked. Daily devotionals that accompany each day's reading are also available on Facebook. They are created by a great Ginghamsburg unpaid servant team. You do not have to be a Facebook user to access them. View them here. When the page opens, click the date under NOTES (on the left hand side) to access the full document.
MONDAY: Matthew 4:18-22
We are called to be fishers of people. What does it look like for you to share your faith in Jesus? When was the last time you shared your God story with someone? Ask God to open your heart and eyes to the people around you that need to hear your story.
TUESDAY: Acts 8:26-40
By sharing his faith Philip hooked the Ethiopian eunuch. When you said yes to following Jesus, who helped hook you? Who shared their faith with you? Take this week to thank God for that person. If possible, contact that person and say “thank you.”
WEDNESDAY: 1 John 4:7-12
Loving one another is not optional! Why is love sometimes so hard? Whom are you struggling to love? Write his/her name down on a piece of paper or journal. Ask God to give you the grace and compassion you need to love that person.
THURSDAY: Acts 9:1-18
Have you ever been afraid to share your faith? Why was Ananias hesitant to go to Paul? What obstacles would you have to overcome to be willing to share your life, faith and love with others?
FRIDAY: Mark 6:1-6
Some times when we share our love and faith with those closest to us, we are rejected. Have you ever been rejected because you shared faith with someone? How did you respond? Ask God to give you the wisdom to know when to share your faith even with those closest to you.
SATURDAY: Psalm 133
Unity matters to God, and it matters to us. Movements like Love the 937 can unify a body of believers. Where do you see unity in the church? How can unity be a motivating factor for you to get involved in the movement?
SUNDAY: Acts 1:8
Jesus’ good news is designed to be shared. According to Acts, what help will we receive to share the good news? Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the courage to share your faith with the people you encounter this week.
