Many of us struggle with life scripts that we've allowed to name and define us. We accept those labels and never give ourselves permission to move forward into anything better. This weekend you're invited to take a seat at Ginghamsburg's WINTER BLUES CAFÉ - and rediscover the God of redemption who's ready to love you into a new name and hope-filled future.

Questions to go Deeper

Many of us struggle with life scripts that we’ve allowed to name and define us. We accept those labels and never give ourselves permission to move forward into anything better. This week rediscover the God of redemption who’s ready to love you into a new name and hope-filled future.

Daily devotionals that accompany each day's reading are also available on Facebook. They are created by a great Ginghamsburg unpaid servant team. You do not have to be a Facebook user to access them. View them here. When the page opens, click the date under NOTES (on the left hand side) to access the full document.

MONDAY: Genesis 16:1-15
Hagar said, “You are the God who sees me, for I have now seen the One who sees me.” Invite God to spend some time with you with absolutely no agenda; simply rest in God’s presence.

TUESDAY: Psalm 139
Only God knows the truest you, and he’s calling it forth. Meditate on verses 13-18. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you God’s thoughts about you. Reject any thought not from a loving father.

WEDNESDAY: Acts 9:1-22
Paul’s previous sign could have read “murder” or “terrorist.” Yet how did God see him in verse 15? It’s the same with any of your past. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you how you are God’s chosen instrument.

THURSDAY: Exodus 3:1-12
How is God described in verses 7-8? God sees you and your current situations, joys, struggles and insecurities. Further, Moses had committed murder earlier in his life (2:11-14); yet God’s purpose for his life remained. Ask God to show you God’s original purpose for your life.

FRIDAY: Hebrews 11
Which of these “heroes of the faith” do you receive the most comfort from? As clearly as you see your past, God sees your future. Imagine where God wants to lead you (verses 13-16).

SATURDAY: Jeremiah 1:5; 29:11-14
Before God formed you in the womb God knew you; the purposes of God for your life were set by God before you were born. Ask God how you could best serve him. What are the plans God has for you?

SUNDAY: Joshua 5:13-6:23
Take a drive or walk around a site God is or may be giving you seven times. Listen for God’s directive and pray for the mission God has given you!
