Try as we might, even the best of Christians possess no power of their own to influence change in the world. Everything about God's plan to use humans requires the power of the Holy Spirit within us. On this Pentecost weekend Pastor Mike Slaughter begins his last series of messages at Ginghamsburg - a call to all world changers.

DIFFERENCE MAKER//world changer

You and I are called to be part of a world-changing, Spirit-empowered, 'hell-can't - prevail' community of action. The outcome will not be determined by the size of your congregation or the abundance of your resources - only your willingness to leave the safety of your life raft and the compliance of those who choose to remain on it.

DIFFERENCE MAKER//world changer

MONDAY: Acts 1:1-4
Jesus asked his followers to wait. Why were they waiting? Have you ever waited for something important? Are you waiting for a God possibility today?

TUESDAY: John 16:12-15
Jesus promised help from the Holy Spirit. What is the Holy Spirit? How does the Holy Spirit work? How has the Spirit moved in your life?

WEDNESDAY: Acts 1:7-10
We are a people who go. What happens when we go into our neighborhoods, communities, country and the world? Who is the power of the movement? Where do you see that power at work around you?

THURSDAY: Acts 19:1-7 Sometimes we can become more concerned with right belief than the movement of the Holy Spirit. What happens to the Jesus followers in Acts 19? How does this change their belief? Has God’s Spirit ever changed your beliefs? How did you respond?

FRIDAY: Matthew 18:15-20
When two or three are gathered God is with us. What is Jesus talking about in this paragraph from the Bible? Is it surprising that God is with us when a relationship is struggling? How do you handle conflict?

SATURDAY: Ephesians 4:4-6
Followers of Jesus are united! What is being described in Ephesians? Is there always unity in the church? Remember unity is not uniformity—how are you talking with and in relationship with people who follow Jesus but may disagree with your beliefs about how to follow Jesus?

SUNDAY: 1 Peter 2:4-5
People are the real church! Where do you see God at work in people’s lives in the church? How are you connected to others? If you are looking for connection email lifegroups@ginghamsburg.org.
