Acts chapter two describes a big 'ol family reunion we know as "Pentecost" - and in the wake of Jesus' death and resurrection the guests came hungry to put their faith into action. The results of that gathering ignited a powerful movement of God - far beyond what humans alone could pull off.

And so it is today. Come for worship this weekend, ready to scoop up your own powerful portion of THE MAIN DISH: THIS IS US.

TUESDAY: Genesis 32:1-21
Family reunions are awesome and awkward. Jacob and Esau experienced a family reunion. How did it go? Have you, like Jacob, been afraid to reunite with family? Ask God to healthfully guide your steps as you attempt to reconcile with your family.

WEDNESDAY: Psalm 8
What’s your identity? How does God see you? Do you see you the way that God sees you? Tell a trusted follower of Jesus and/or your life group if you struggle to see yourself as a daughter or son of God.

THURSDAY: Exodus 19:1-13
This is the beginning of God’s giving of the Torah (first 5 books of the Bible) to God’s people. How do the people prepare to receive it? What is the sign of God’s presence? Name places where you experience/see God’s presence today.

FRIDAY: Mark 1:9-12
Jesus was baptized by John in water. Have you ever been baptized? What is the connection between baptism and the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ baptism? Looking to be baptized? Sign up for River Baptisms on Sunday, August 13. See ginghamsburg.org/baptism.

SATURDAY: Acts 1:1-8
Jesus promised Holy Spirit power. Have you experienced the power of the Holy Spirit? What has that looked like in your life? Are you open to the movement of the Holy Spirit in your life?

SUNDAY: 2 Chronicles 7:14
Do you pray? How do you pray? How is prayer outlined in this scripture? Set your clock for 7:14am and 7:14pm—ask God to “do the supernatural in me and through me.”
