THE MAIN DISH: THIS IS US
THIS IS US
July 23, 2017
Acts chapter two describes a big 'ol family reunion we know as "Pentecost" - and in the wake of Jesus' death and resurrection the guests came hungry to put their faith into action. The results of that gathering ignited a powerful movement of God - far beyond what humans alone could pull off.
And so it is today. Come for worship this weekend, ready to scoop up your own powerful portion of THE MAIN DISH: THIS IS US.
THE MAIN DISH
Exalted to the right hand of God, Jesus has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
But you will receive power and you will be my witnesses...
The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off - for all whom the Lord our God will call.
DISH IT OUT
Prayer from 2 Chronicles 7:14:
God, do the supernatural in me and through me.
See this week’s REFOCUS questions for deeper reflection.
