REFOCUS QUESTIONS...

What determines your daily agenda? Do you live your life around someTHING or someONE? What gets your time, energy and passion each day? In a world that offers every possible distraction to numb the pain we all carry it’s imperative to ask...

WHAT OWNS YOU?

HABITS, ADDICTIONS AND THE FREEDOM OF RECOVERY

MONDAY: Romans 7:14-15
Do you identify with this verse? What feelings does it spark in you?

TUESDAY: 1 Corinthians 6:12
Are there things in your life that you are doing only because you can? How do they make you feel?

WEDNESDAY: 2 Peter 2:19, Mark 10:17-31
What owns you? What determines what you do each day? As you list them ask of each item, "Is this from God?"

THURSDAY: Psalms 51:1-12
Even King David, a man after God's own heart, had things that owned him. This Psalm is his cry of release and forgiveness to God. Take today to cry out to God and ask for release from the things that own you.

FRIDAY: 1 John 5:4-5
There is hope born of knowing that "everyone born of God overcomes the world." Do you have this hope?

If not, you can begin by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior by praying...God, I know I have not always been the person you created me to be. Please forgive me for what I have done. Jesus, please come into my heart. I commit to live for you from this day forward. Amen.

If you have this hope, whom is God telling you to share it with?

SATURDAY: Philippians 4:13
There is something awesome about knowing you cannot do life on your own. Where do you draw strength from? Begin to rely on God by telling God what you are struggling with.

SUNDAY: Acts 1:8
The Holy Spirit is there for us as we go out into the world. What are you doing as you go out? Where have you seen the Holy Spirit help you?
