Out of all the ways Jesus could’ve described himself, he used the picture of a shepherd who would tirelessly search out lost sheep. Christianity is really that simple: Jesus finds us and brings us back home. I once was lost – but now am found – was blind but now I see.

I AM ONE: the lost sheep

MONDAY: Psalm 100:3; Psalms 139:1-6
God deliberately made you. What good things did God put in you? What did God create in you that is special?

TUESDAY: Jeremiah 29:11
Because God created you God wants great things for you. Take a few minutes and rest in that promise.

WEDNESDAY: Isaiah 40:11; Psalm 91
God considers you a part of God’s flock and wants to care for you. What cares in your life do you want/need to give to God? How does it feel to share your cares with God?

THURSDAY: Luke 15:1-7
When have you been like that lost sheep? What happened when you experienced the miracle of being found?

FRIDAY: John 10:3
Jesus is our shepherd. How does God speak to you? In what ways can we hear God’s voice?

SATURDAY: John 10:11; John 3:16-17
Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for God’s sheep. Why would Jesus do that? What does that sacrifice mean to you?

SUNDAY: Psalm 23:1-3
The Lord is my shepherd...God treasures you and values you. Today write out a prayer of thanks for the unique ways God loves you.
