Sermon Questions

Everyone experiences the unexpected, and often the unfair – but what’s your response? Let’s explore a beautiful new way to see the world...

MONDAY: 1 Corinthians 1:20-25
Who in this world do you see as wise? Who does the world see as wise? When you compare this wisdom to God’s what do you see?

TUESDAY: James 1:2-4; 2 Corinthians 4:8-10
When have you questioned the fairness of life? What can we learn from these scriptures about trials?

WEDNESDAY: Luke 5:1-11
What was ordinary about Simon, James and John? How were they like us? What changed them?

THURSDAY: John 20:24-29
What do you have in common with Thomas? How was he ordinary? How was he changed by his encounter with Jesus?

FRIDAY: Matthew 14:22-36
How was Peter’s reaction ordinary? What reaction do you think you would have had? How was Peter’s life changed by this encounter?

SATURDAY: John 10:7-1
What do you think Jesus means by “I am the Gate”? How can you choose to enter? If you are ready to choose Jesus now, you can pray, “Lord, I admit that I have done things that are wrong. Thank you that you have died to take away all my sins. Please forgive me for the things I have done and help me to live out each day for you. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

SUNDAY: 1 Corinthians 1:26-31
God has chosen us, and we are called to share our ordinary possibilities with the people around us. How can God use your ordinary?
