To be human is to experience pain – and sometimes tragedy. But pain left unresolved causes us to forget what we were created for, pulling us further and further from God.

This week let’s explore how hope is always possible.

TUESDAY: Psalm 6
What questions have you asked of God? How do you talk to God when you are in deep anguish?

WEDNESDAY: Psalm 34:18; 1 Corinthians 1:3-8
Where is God when it hurts? Looking back where can you see that God has been with you?

THURSDAY: 1 John 1:5; James 1:17; Numbers 23:19; Joshua 1:8-9; Micah 7:18-19
Using the Bible references define who God is.

FRIDAY: Exodus 14:14; Exodus 20:12; Isaiah 40:29-31
These are just a few of God’s promises. Today see how many you can list. What has God promised you, and how do you apply God’s promises to your life?

SATURDAY: Matthew 18:21-22; James 5:16
What steps do you need to take to forgive those that have harmed you? Have you forgiven yourself for your mistakes? What part does confession play in forgiveness?

SUNDAY: Psalm 86:15; Zephaniah 3:17; John 15:9-17
What has your relationship with God been built on? How have you developed that relationship?

Today you can make certain your relationship with God is based purely on love, God’s love for you. And out of that, you’ll find a new love for your God.
