Alaska, is the largest and most sparsely populated state in the U.S. It's known for its dramatic, diverse terrain of wide-open spaces, mountains and forests, with abundant wildlife and many small towns. You will want to join us in July of 2016 as we explore the dramatic, diverse and wide-open spaces, mountains and forests along with the abundant wildlife and small towns as we travel through the Kenai Peninsula.

Our “Go n’ Be” Mission theme centers on the core beliefs of working hard, studying hard, playing hard and sleeping hard. We can find no better way to do that than to combine a work project along with a halibut and salmon fishing experience!

We will partner with a local youth camp doing maintenance and repair projects as we are immersed into the local rural culture. The camp serves at-risk students from the Anchorage area. This adventure promises to be one of the most fulfilling and rewarding experiences you could ever imagine.

Our week is designed not only as a work and fishing adventure but also a time to get away from daily life and focus on God’s calling for our family, career and overall direction of where we are heading in life as men. Our teaching and reflecting sessions include daily journaling, times for reflection and being immersed in some of the most beautiful landscapes in God’s creation.

Our salmon fishing adventure will be throughout the week in the local streams and lakes - highlighted by a one-day halibut fishing cruise.

Our simplified lifestyle of sleeping in cabins, preparing our own meals and traveling as the locals do ensures that you will experience Alaska not as tourists – but instead you will be in touch with the strengths and uniqueness of Alaskans. Cost includes van travel, lodging, meals, t-shirt and a one-day ocean fishing experience.
