Responsibilities:


The Guest Readiness Specialist will be primarily responsible for the following:

  • Oversight, recruitment and coordination of hospitality servant teams who support weekly worship celebrations, including Saturday night, Sunday morning, Wednesday night and other weeknight worship venue celebrations
  • Ongoing training of hospitality servant volunteers to ensure a great welcoming environment for newcomers and regular attendees
  • Leading the new guest “welcome process,” including:
  • High emphasis on capturing new guests information and introducing them to Ginghamsburg in a positive and effective manner
  • Ongoing development and monitoring of matrices that evaluate our success in assimilating the new guests into the cycle of discipleship (celebration, cell and call)
  • Coordinate with staff teams on behalf of families utilizing Ginghamsburg for funeral services.

Education & Experience:

  • Required:  high school diploma and prior experience working with children.
  • Preferred:  an Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, with significant experience working with children.

Skill Requirements:

  • Understand a preschooler’s social/emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual developmental needs.
  • Must be a very patient individual.
  • Demonstrate the ability to create and effectively implement age appropriate lessons.
  • Have the ability to evaluate on an on-going basis the social/emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual developmental stages of an individual child.
  • Have the ability to plan and implement methods of establishing a positive partnership with the child’s parents.
  • Possess the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, peers and administrative staff.
  • Possess the ability to work both independently as well as within teams.

Position Requirements:

  • Must attend in-services trainings
  • Felony statement and fingerprinting
  • Support children’s ministries
  • CPR-certified
  • First Aid
  • Communicable Disease
  • Child Abuse
  • Participate in at least 15 hours of state required classes each year of employment totaling 45 hours in the first 3 years
  • Participate in 10 hours of Step Up to Quality classes each year of employment

​​      Physical Requirements are:

  • Employee should be comfortable with prolonged sitting and standing.
  • Employee should be able to lift and hold up to 50 lbs.
  • Employee should be able to squat to a child’s height and maintain eye contact at a child’s level.
  • Employee should be able to sit on the floor with children for prolonged periods of time.
  • Employee should be able to bend and reach from floor to waist several times throughout the day.
  • Employee should be able to crawl around on the floor and interact with the children in their space.
  • Employee should be able to do lifting and walking as needed.

Responsible for executing room and grounds setups for all events across both Tipp City Campuses and Overall care for the building with an eye for detail.   Occasional opening and closing duties.

Skill Requirements:

  • Experience in a wide array of repairs; including but not limited to: general maintenance, carpentry, painting, drywall installation and repair, plumbing and minor electrical work.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be over the age of 18
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds required
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively individually or in a team setting

Responsibilities:

  • Perform room setups and tear downs as assigned.
  • Proactively address potential room setup and equipment issues
  • Team with facilities event team during large-events to support the logistics
  • Demonstrate initiative and professionalism
  • Effectively communicate with other church personnel to understand the vision for a particular project before and during setup
