Education & Experience:

  • Degree in music or related field preferred
  • Experience playing music at church

Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent ability to train and empower leaders and work in teams
  • Instrumental expertise in multiple styles of music (preferably drums and/or piano)
  • Ability to arrange and chart music of a variety of styles

  • Ability to manage a budget
  • Experience creating click/backing tracks

Position Requirements:

Weekend and evening hours required

Responsibilities:

  • Playing during weekend celebrations 3 weekends each month
  • Playing at special events and holiday celebrations
  • Scheduling band members at least one month in advance
  • Managing Planning Center for booking, group updates, rehearsal/service planning
  • Running click tracks on stage
  • Assisting with creating click tracks
  • Helping create and proof read chord charts
  • Directing the band about song structure
  • Attending weekly meeting with Music Pastor/Director
  • Attending monthly meeting with campus worship leaders
  • Managing bi-annual band auditions
  • Networking to keep a deep rotation of musicians (both inside & outside Ginghamsburg)
  • Creating and communicating clear expectations to all band members
  • Directly addressing issues with band members (Tardiness, unpreparedness, dress code, general professionalism, etc.) 
  • Collaborate with other staff on original music projects
  • Learn to use Reason, Ableton Live, and other software strategic for supporting the music ministry
  • As assigned by Music Pastor/Director

  • Assist Executive Chef in preparation and execution of food service for church-wide special events.

Responsibilities:

  • Conveying and living out vision for Family Ministry at Ginghamsburg Church within all events, programs and trainings per area of responsibility.
  • Continually recruiting, training and deploying new unpaid leaders for ministry including teens and adults.
  • Supervision, development and discipleship of leaders within a team-based ministry.
  • Equipping leaders with proper resources and providing ongoing coaching.
