Responsibilities:

  • Gather, track and delegate all prayer request info and other reports as requested to Care Pastor Team
  • Request communication flyers, brochures, bulletin inserts and follow through on proof, print and distribution of these materials as requested by Pastor of Care and Next Step Ministries
  • Assist in planning, set up, execution and clean-up of training, Midweek Gathering and other events as requested by Director
  • Schedule Care Pastors for weekend prayer rooms, baptism helpers, oil anointing weekends, hospital visits, nursing home visits, funerals, crisis care and holiday events at the church where prayer or Pastor presence is needed
  • Order all supplies including Bibles, tokens, books, greeting cards, communion elements and any other items as requested by Director
  • Update community resource guides and information on a regular basis
  • Delegate, track and follow through on all Next Step transportation from recovery homes to worship and back
  • Work with Next Step story tellers by interviewing, assigning weekends, proofreading stories and executing a practice session before they speak on stage
  • Send cards of care, birthday, sympathy, get well and encouragement as requested by Director
  • Assist in creating and executing annual Care Pastor weekend retreat and monthly training sessions with Director

  • Must be available Monday-Thursday: 9am-3pm (with a one-hour break), Sunday: 8am-1pm (plus as needed for special events)—29 hours per week
  • Must be at least age 18

Responsibilities:

  • Large Event Planning and Deploying: Assistance in the planning and deploying of BigStuf, plus a high school mission trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee and a recruiting event
  • Relationship Training: Traveling to BigStuf and on mission trips where he/she will lead a small group of kids and receive leader training from BigStuf staff
  • Leader Recruitment: Family Ministry Recruiting Event
  • Fundraising Experience: BigStuf and Mission Trip fundraisers
  • Administrative Expectations: Monthly ministry reports
  • Visioning for Future Ministry: Strategy meetings with the family ministry team throughout the summer. Plus you will attend weekly 30-minute mini sessions with the following ministries:
    1. Adults
    2. Students
    3. New Path
    4. Care Ministry & Next Step
    5. Mission
    6. Church Planting
    7. Pastoring
