The Avenue Halloween Costume DJ Dance Party is a fun and safe late-night party for middle and high school students, sponsored by Ginghamsburg Student Ministry. Entry is free, with an optional fee of 5 canned goods for the New Path food pantry.

Doors open at 8pm. From 8-11pm students can free-roam the Avenue to explore different activities, but the dance room and professional DJ is the main event

There will be a cash snack bar, so bring your own money!

Yes! There will be prizes awarded to best costumes (funniest, most creative, best duo). There may be door prizes as well – enter to win by pre-registering!

Please! This helps with logistical planning, like how many chaperones to recruit, or how many snacks to prepare. Registration is free, and there is an optional entry fee of 5 canned goods for the New Path food pantry.

At Ginghamsburg, we love Jesus and do something about it! In this case, we are providing a safe late-night alternative to halloween shenanigans. For teens who have aged out of trick-or-treat, this dance party provides an opportunity to dress up, make a new friend and have a ton of fun!

We see Halloween as a chance to lean into creativity and community. Costumes open the door for imagination, and we believe God—the ultimate Creator—delights in creativity for its own sake. Exploration, expression, and diversity are built into the season, and we want to celebrate those things in a way that’s safe, positive, and fun.

Our goal isn’t to pull kids away from their own churches. This event is designed to meet students who don’t already have a faith community—an opportunity for them to connect with the church in a non-intimidating way. We’re intentional about keeping things “non-evil” (no scary masks, nothing unsafe), while rewarding creativity and self-expression.

Behind the music and costumes, our volunteers are ready to build real relationships. They practice down-to-earth discipleship, and every conversation points toward an open invitation: come and see who Jesus is. At the end of the day, we believe Jesus welcomes everyone—He eats (and dances) with everyone.
