“Passion” is defined as a strong and barely controllable emotion. There’s a second definition of passion that none of us would choose on our own – the suffering and death of Jesus – thanks, but no thanks!  Yet every spring Jesus-followers throughout the globe set aside time and attention to walk through the season of Lent, replicating Jesus’s sacrifice and withdrawal into the desert for 40 days. Why the journey through Lent? What is it about walking with the suffering Jesus that somehow gifts us with clarity and strength for our own lives? Living your best life is about to get turned on its head as we take a deep dive into the gospel of Luke chapters 22-23, finding fresh faith and a passion we never knew existed.
