Mum Festival Parade

Walk with Ginghamsburg Church in the Tipp City Mum Festival Parade! You’ll get to pass out candy as you watch kids explode with excitement. But also, pretty fun opportunity to let our community know there’s a safe and growing connection for teens in Tipp City. The parade is meant to highlight the best of our little town. Fall Retreat

We’re going on retreat! Join us on a two-night stay at Cross Oak Camp in St. Marys, Ohio. Who is Jesus, what did Jesus do, and was it all real? Leaving the Avenue at 4:30pm Friday. Back home at 11:30am Sunday. $200/student if registered by September 30. Sign up below!

Monthly Food Drives
Every first Wednesday and Sunday of the month
New Path feeds hungry people who live close by. We can help with that. Easy. Just bring canned goods. The biggest challenge is remembering. If you do remember, raid your parents’ pantry. They’ll never know. It’s for a good cause.
WEEKLY PROGRAMS
YG (Youth Group)
Wednesdays throughout the school year, 6:30-8pm // Avenue, Tipp City Campus
Students gather for a time of fun, worship, teaching, and small group discussions. The program includes a game, great music, engaging teaching about something that matters to students, and age- and gender-based small groups, led by caring adults. Bring some cash for dinner (pizza!).
Student Ministry on Sunday Morning
Sunday mornings (of course!) // 10-11:30am // Avenue Loft, Tipp City Campus
Have your teen take part in a Sunday experience that’s all about creating spaces for our students to connect with God and others. Fellowship starts at 10am before the good stuff starts at 10:30am: games, relevant & age-appropriate teaching and prayer. Anyone in grade 6-12 is welcome!

Confirmation
Sundays, November 1-December 20, 10:15-11:30am, Tipp City Campus Avenue
Confirmation is a class for students interested in claiming their faith for themselves. During confirmation, students learn about the foundations of the Christian faith, the history of the church, and what is required of them as followers of Jesus. Click the button below to register your teen.

Confirmation is an eight-week class where we will be learning about the basics of the Christian faith and helping your student discover their gifts and purpose! Through this class, each student will have an opportunity to be confirmed.
Being confirmed means your student is making the decision to follow Jesus for themselves. Each student will be given a “Student Guide” to complete throughout the eight weeks of Confirmation. To be confirmed, you must complete ALL eight of the lessons in your student guides. This includes some take home activities and memory verses.
As United Methodists, we observe the practice of infant baptism whereby parents choose to have their children baptized shortly after they are born. Because of this, Confirmation serves as an opportunity for students to claim their faith in Jesus Christ for themselves in a meaningful way.
All classes are mandatory, but a makeup option is available if a student has to miss a class. Students can miss no more than two sessions.
You must be baptized to be Confirmed in the United Methodist Church. If a student was not baptized as an infant, they will have the opportunity to get baptized at our Confirmation Banquet.
That’s incredible! Your student will be invited to renew their baptism vows at our Confirmation Banquet.
At the end of the course, we celebrate all students who have completed all the requirements for Confirmation. The evening consists of dinner, time of testimony from students and an opportunity for baptism. Students will be encouraged to invite all their family and friends!
We celebrate all the students who have completed the requirements for Confirmation with our church congregation. Students are given a gift and prayed over during worship.

Mental Health
As well as providing counseling and psychiatry services to children and adolescents at Ginghamsburg Church’s South Campus, New Creation Counseling Center also offers counseling services at several schools in the following Miami County school districts: Tipp City, Miami East, Covington, Bradford, as well as at Upper Valley Career Center.
