Finding a new church can be challenging! Tuning in to an online broadcast can put you at-ease before making an in-person visit.

Our online community is an extension of our ministry in Tipp City. Though some remain fully online, you’ll find many people access our weekly broadcast only when they can’t be physically present. Whether you’re new to church and faith, or a longtime Jesus-follower, you will be loved regardless.

Meet Dennis Miller

Ginghamsburg Church Senior Pastor

Dennis is an encourager and a people-oriented leader who has a passion for developing leaders and teams. He fully believes that ministry is a team sport.

Dennis was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio. He met his wife, Rachel, at Asbury Theological Seminary. They have been married more than thirty years.

Dennis is a graduate of Asbury University (BA) with a major in Bible and minor in American history. He also holds a Master Divinity (MDiv) from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) from United Theological Seminary.

Dennis has a heart for world missions. He has traveled and led multiple teams to Central and South America and southeast Asia. He is also an avid long-distance motorcyclist. In 2018, Dennis became one of the first motorcyclists in North America to ride on Canada’s most northern, new all-season gravel road to the Arctic Ocean. He has also led seven motorcycle mission trips to Vietnam, ministering in over 40 of their 58 provinces and providing over 100 motorcycles to Vietnamese United Methodist pastors.

Worship typically lasts 50 to 65 minutes.

  • Online worship will begin with a rotation of slides promoting upcoming events, before a countdown alerts you that worship is about to start. Next, you’ll be welcomed into a time of music led by a live band. The words of the songs will be displayed if you would like to sing along. We use music as a way to express our love for God and appreciation for what God has done for us.
  • At some point during worship, an online host will highlight details of upcoming events or share a cool story. There will also be an invitation to support the ministry and mission of the church.
  • One of our pastors will teach a lesson from the Bible. Our goal is to help everyone understand the Bible and to apply it to their lives. The teaching will be practical and challenging, and hopefully inspire you in your personal pursuit of God.
  • On some occasions we host baptisms. Other times we celebrate communion or welcome new members. In worship celebrations that include communion, your online host will invite you to grab crackers and juice (or similar items you have handy at home) so that you will be ready for communion when we reach that part of worship.
  • We like to celebrate holidays with special focus…join us on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr weekend, back-to-school time and other culturally poignant holidays, as well as our favorites: Christmas and Easter. Expect something a little different on these special Sundays.

As our guest, we don’t expect any money from you.  We’ll have an offering during worship, but we encourage you to let the opportunity to give pass you by. The offering is a way for the Ginghamsburg Church family to respond to God and join the mission of the church. If you’re new, we don’t expect you to give. Our time of worship is a gift to you.

We believe that money follows mission, not church budgets. Therefore, we will never be shy to ask for money destined to help people. Whether that’s funding our counseling center, filling our Tipp City food pantry, distributing rice and beans in Cuba or supporting missionaries in El Salvador…you can’t out-give God.

If you do consider Ginghamsburg your church home, thank you for prayerfully considering a regular contribution. You can give by check or cash during weekend worship or you can set up an online giving account on our Give page.

Offering boxes are located near the doors as you exit the Worship Center and in other convenient locations throughout our campus.

We believe we need one another as we grow into all that God has planned for our lives.

If you live close to one of our physical campuses, you may choose to be a part of any offered in-person event or group, even though you worship online.

If you do not live in the Dayton or Tipp City areas in southwest Ohio, it’s easiest to stay connected through the online chat, prayer-request line or Facebook groups.

Get to Know Us

One thing our United Methodist congregation is known for is actually doing something with our love for Jesus. We believe we are the hands and feet and the bank account that God deploys for serving the world God loves. This is evidenced by the wide-ranging expressions of community partnerships born out of the passions of our people, and the millions of dollars invested in the lives of people all over the world. We’re also not shy about our focus on intentional diversity, using media and storytelling to advance the gospel and our desire to see every kid within our reach go to bed with faith, family and food. It all starts with family, and empowering the leaders of every household to guide their loved ones into a richer relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our ultimate goal is for everyone who is part of Ginghamsburg Online to take faith at their own pace. It’s a church to help you heal. It’s a church to influence healthy family change.

About Our Music

Music for Ginghamsburg Online mirrors much of what you might hear on contemporary Christian radio featuring a band with guitars, drums, keyboards and a team of vocalists. Our musicians are talented, but performance is not the intention. Our style is familiar, well-rehearsed and easy to follow.
